AADD 2008 LEGACY BREAKFAST
DEFIES ECONOMY

AADD once more defied the odds. In October 2008, when many nonprofits were canceling fundraising events, AADD attracted more than 250 business and community leaders to its 6th Annual Legacy Breakfast. Event Co-chairs Whitney and Peter Moister wanted potential donors to know that difficult economic times are especially hard for families living with developmental disabilities.

“We are so grateful that Peter and Whitney with Honorary Chairs Barbara and Vince Dooley forged ahead,” said AADD Executive Director Mary Yoder. “As state funding and other resources shrink, individual and corporate donations are now more important than ever.”

Through their outstanding efforts, the Moisters’ and the Dooleys’ leadership raised
$285, 316 in gifts and pledges for the vital work of AADD on behalf of Georgians living with developmental disabilities.
